When Bruce willingly transformed into the Hulk to stop the Leviathan, he reveals his secret. - “That’s my secret captain, I’m always angry.” - This is a direct confession that Banner is in control over his transformation (for the most part) as Anger is what’s known to spark the transformation. This is an indirect reference to the end of the Incredible Hulk, wherein Bruce reveals his mastery over his heart rate and thus control over his transformation.
